BRD 35th @ Foot Locker National Final (12/9)
According to our on-site reporter, Mike Poole ('97), Brian was in good position until about 1.5 miles.  Murdock (Shen) went on to finish 3rd overall!  Northeast Boys 2nd to West region.  Hannah Davidson (Toga) 33rd in Girls race.  Poole and fellow '97 grad Jon Nieman (seen right) were spotted by Dyestat's "Donna on the Side!" Nice smile Niemo!

Dutch Compete @ Suburban Council's (1/27)
Girls 4x200, Karley Giles HJ place 4th to highlight the ladies.  Ian Tapler and Jarrell Gatterson take 4th in the 55H and TJ, respectively, for the boys.

Who is Yifan Chen? A Double Winner for G'land! (12/11)
The Guilderland Indoor squads opened their season Sunday at Union College.  The Boys were 2nd behind two wins from junior Chen (45m Dash and TJ)!  The Girls placed 5th despite solid efforts from Liz Schwennker (600m) and Courtney Delorenzo (3k).

BRD & Graves Selected as NYS XC All-Stars (12/18)
Brian made his third consecutive appearance on the first team.  Roland makes his first appearance, on fifth team.

Dutchmen Teams Travel to 2007 Dartmouth Relays (1/7)
Senior Jarrell Gatterson takes 6th in unseeded LJ (18-11.25) and 8th in TJ (41-6).  Cory Leggiero (seen left) doubles well in Mile (4:51) and 1000m (2:51).

Chen improves on his TJ with win and Delorenzo places 2nd in the 1500m at HVCC.Results
Schwennker & Slingerland Dash for Dutch in Final Meet of 2006 (12/27)
Junior tracksters, Liz Schwennker and David Slingerland both placed 2nd in the 300m Dash.  Schwennker also placed well in the 600m Run (3rd).  Sprinting Girls 4x2 and 4x4 teams also take 2nd.

Boys Team 3rd at League Meet #5 (1/23)
While our host computer was down, the Dutchmen boys team scored in ten events @ HVCC.  You might be surprised in what events they scored!  David Slingerland won the 300m. Girls were 7th.
     This was the final scoring meet of the season--on to Championships!

Long Red Line Ties Are Strong  (1/23)
Ten+ years have passed since their HS graduation, but XC creates bonds that last a lifetime.  Rob Naughter ('95), Jon Nieman, Mike Poole, Andy Rickert, Chris Kellett and Ryan Tastor (all '97) recently reunited in San Diego as they try to do each year in a new location.  The boys even made time for a friendly round of ultimate frisbee.  Here they are atop Mt. Soledad just after sunset.

Dow Wins Va Tech Meet in Style (1/27)
Former G'lander, now Midlothian HS (VA) star, Samantha Dow ran 11:08.29 in the seeded 3200m.  This time has put her among the Nation's leaders this season on a lisit dominated by Virginians!

Dow, pictured left, used a late surge to power away from the field and represents a ten second personal best. A teammate of hers was third overall!
BRD Struggles at Boston Indoor Games (1/27)
Brian Rhodes-Devey, taking a break from a scholastic indoor season, made a rare appearance in the Junior Boys Mile @ the Reggie Lewis Center.  His time of 4:29 was good for 11th.  Meet is scheduled to be televised Sunday on ESPN2 @ 3pm.

G'land Trio Heads to Boulder for USA Jr Nationals (2/2)
Seth DuBois, Justin Wager (both '06) and Brian Rhodes-Devey are among the entries for this years USATF Cross Country Championships on February 10th.  The top six finishers over the 8k course will become eligible to compete at the IAAF World Championships in Mombasa, Kenya in
March.  AJ Acosta, Kenny Klotz, and Matthew Tebo are also registered.

DuBois 11th @ USA Cross Country Champs! (2/10)
Coach Oates Finishes 10th in Masters Age Group! (2/14)
Although he didn't qualify for a spot on the World Championship team, Seth DuBois has catapulted himself onto the list of America's best Junior distance runners!  Justin Wager finishes in the top 50.  BRD is spiked badly, must pull out.

Dave Slingerland earned the only patch Saturday, finishing third in the 600m run.  Liz Schwennker was 6th in the 300m highlighting the ladies.  Cory Leggiero PR's in the 1600m (4:43) to finish 5th.

Burns Returns!! (2/11)
Gered Burns ('02) won the Valentine Invitational 800m in 1:50.42 after a disappointing Terrier Classic last month where he ran 1:54. Dan Haggerty ('03), now with SCSU, was also in Boston and ran 8:39 for 3,000m!  Congrats to both!

SUNY-Cortland stand-out, Seth DuBois, runs 14:52.74, representing a provisional D-3 qualifying time.  The time may not be fast enough to make the National meet--

The Return of BRD? (3/7)
After suffering a horrible foot injury at last month's US XC meet, Brian Rhodes-Devey is expected to compete in the Two-Mile at this weekend's
NIN in Maryland.  Roland Graves is entered in the same event at the NSIC in NYC. UPDATE--Neither BRD or Graves are in racing shape yet...BRD finishes 21st/23 in 9:43, Graves runs 9:49 for 20th/27.  On to Outdoors!!!
